Nick Capezzera is a documentary filmmaker and photographer. He made his directorial debut with UNIVERSE (2020), a documentary on famed trumpeter Wallace Roney, which premiered at Sheffield DocFest and won the International Documentary Association Award for Best Music Documentary of the Year.

He was a co-producer on CORNBREAD MAFIA (2026, SXSW), about the Kentucky farmers behind the largest domestic marijuana operation in U.S. history, and co-producer and cinematographer of BUILDING A BRIDGE (2021), executive produced by Martin Scorsese. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, aired on Sundance TV, and is streaming on AMC+.

In 2024, Nick received the Center for Asian American Media Documentary Fund grant for his next project, THE OTHER SIDE OF MEMORY (2026), a personal documentary about his decade-long search for his birth family in South Korea.

His collaborators and clients include PBS, Netflix, Sundance TV, Art21, Google, The New York Times, OceanX, National Geographic, The BBC, and the Tribeca Film Institute. His work spans documentary, branded content, and immersive media.
